Man dies after being struck by vehicle south of Saskatoon

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Valley Road south of Saskatoon.

SASKATOON – A man was killed Wednesday evening south of Saskatoon. Mounties say a man was walking along Valley Road near Merrill School Road around 9 p.m. CT when he was hit by a vehicle.

The 48-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Police say he was wearing all dark clothing and was not seen by the driver, who stopped immediately to tend to the man and called 911.

RCMP were on the scene for several hours.

No charges have been laid and police continue to investigate.
