Preliminary inquiry underway for men accused of killing Nick Lush

CALGARY – A preliminary inquiry is underway for two men accused of killing a Calgary father.

Nick Lush disappeared in March 2015 after leaving a Springbank house party. His remains were later found near Longview, southwest of Calgary.

Cody Bauer and Kristopher Goerzen are both charged with first-degree murder of Lush.

During the preliminary inquiry, a provincial court judge will determine if there is sufficient evidence to order the two men to stand trial.

Both Goerzen and Bauer remain in custody.

Bauer was denied bail on Friday by a Queen’s Bench Justice.
