CALGARY – One of two men accused of killing a Calgary father 10 months ago was denied bail Friday.
Cody Bauer is accused of the first-degree murder of Nick Lush, a father of three who disappeared last March after leaving a house party in the Spring Bank area. Lush’s remains were later found near Longview, southwest of Calgary.

A Queen’s Bench Justice denied Bauer bail Friday, citing the third ground, which is to maintain public confidence in the administration of justice.
Lush’s wife and other family members attended court, and said they left relieved by the judge’s decision.
A preliminary inquiry for Bauer and co-accused, Kris Goerzen, is scheduled for later this month.
