Two men have been arrested and face multiple charges in relation to an incident with a handgun.
Halifax Regional Police say 18-year-olds Matthew Braydin Valardo and Isaiah Thomas Dorrington both face charges of careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowingly possessing an unauthorized firearm, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motorvehicle.

Valardo is also facing two additional charges of pointing a firearm and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The charges are in relation to an incident that occurred early Saturday morning.
At approximately 3:15 a.m., police responded to a weapons complaint in Dartmouth, near Portland Estates Boulevard and Portland Street. A man said he and a passenger were driving in a car when he noticed a vehicle following him. He pulled over and the dark-coloured SUV following him pulled over as well, with two men inside.
The drivers then became involved in a dispute and the driver of the SUV pointed a handgun at the other driver, according to police. No shots were fired and police say there were no injuries.
Both men are in custody at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility, according to police.
