Alberta RCMP are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted another man in his Drumheller home.
Police said an unknown male suspect knocked on the victim’s door at around 10 p.m. Sunday and asked to use the phone, before forcing his way in and sexually assaulting the homeowner. Police said the same suspect had knocked on other apartment doors in the area with the same request, but no other residents were assaulted.
Police describe the suspect as about 5’10” wearing blue jeans, a green sweater, a light blue baseball cap and a black balaclava over his face.
The victim received minor injuries.
The RCMP is reminding people to verify the identity of strangers before opening the door of their home.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Drumheller RCMP Detachment at (403) 823-2630 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online.
