MONTREAL – Two men are being held for questioning following an early morning stabbing Saturday that sent two 27-year-old men to hospital.
Montreal police officers patrolling Saint-Laurent Boulevard came across a fight near Prince Arthur Street, as the bars were closing at 3:10 a.m.
Police intervened and discovered two men who had been stabbed with sharp objects.
The victims were taken to hospital in critical condition, but police said that their lives are no longer in danger.
Two suspects, a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, were arrested at the scene.
Investigators searching the area recovered two edge weapons that were possibly used in the attack.
The circumstances leading to the brawl are still unclear and it is not yet known whether the four men knew each other.
