WINDSOR, N.S. – RCMP have issued a province-wide arrest warrant for a man they say is responsible for many crimes including fraud, forgery and identity theft.
Police say 29-year-old Stephen Wade Tracey, often with a female accomplice, has been involved in identity theft and cheque fraud crimes.
The female accomplice was arrested on December 19 and is still in police custody.
Tracey is about 6’1″, weighing approximately 250-270 lbs. Police say he has tattoos covering his hands. He has been known to travel throughout Nova Scotia and Alberta.
Police believe there may be more victims in the province, and are concerned that he may target more fraud victims if he isn’t apprehended.
Anyone who believes they may be a victim, or has information about Tracey’s whereabouts, is asked to call Windsor RCMP at 902-798-2207 or anonymously contact www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
