MONTREAL–It’s a boy! But not just any boy.
Constantinos Koukoutsis is Montreal’s first-born of 2016, delivered at 12:00:07 at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital on January 1st.
When Father Pantelis Koukoutsis spoke to Global News, his excitement was still palpable.
Koukoutsis says he was hanging on to his phone, looking at the timer.
“The final push was at the stroke of midnight,” said Koukoutsis.
“Everyone is popping into the room, congratulating us,” mentioned Koukoutsis.
“Now we’re just waiting on Justin Trudeau for a selfie.”

Mother Joanne Rozakis and son are doing well. This is the couple’s third child but first boy.
“He’s a star,” exclaimed the proud dad amidst laughter.
Constantinos is joining his two older sisters, nine year-old Natalia and seven year-old Melina, who are already competing for his love.
“They’re so excited,” said Koukoutsis.
“They’re both fighting to hold him but are taking turns. It’s a happy fight!”
