It’s a boy!
Langley resident Darlene Henley, 32, delivered the first baby born in 2015 in B.C. at the Peace Arch Hospital.
He made his appearance at only five seconds past midnight and weighs in at seven pounds, 14 ounces. He was due on Christmas, but the newborn clearly had a schedule of his own.
Family and baby are doing well and they have yet to name him.
Contrary to popular urban legends, they haven’t received offers of a year’s supply of diapers, a stroller or any other lavish prizes, but a healthy newborn is the best gift.
