HALIFAX -Staff at the Springhill Institution in Nova Scotia seized a “significant” amount of contraband Wednesday, according to a news release.

The items seized have an institutional value of approximately $5,000.
Correctional Service Canada said security intelligence officers and correctional officers worked together to secure the contraband.
No charges were announced in connection with the seizure.
