Edmonton police lay charges in Windermere double homicide

EDMONTON — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a double homicide in southwest Edmonton.

Philip Jason Vanderwell has been charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Daniel Andrew Edward Fullerton, 28, and Dianna Teresa Wilk, 28 on Oct. 30th.

Fullerton and Wilk died of gunshot wounds. Their bodies were found in a vehicle in the Windermere neighbourhood near 173 Street and 11 Avenue SW.

Police were called to the area by a passerby who noticed the bodies in the vehicle and called 911 around 7:40 p.m.

Several neighbours in the area told Global News they didn’t recognize the vehicle where the bodies were found.

Global News learned Fullerton was originally from Rosetown, Sask.
