The incident occurred in Pontiac at Phoenix Place Apartments, according to an Oakland County Sherrif’s report. Nikey Dashone Walker and Shadeed Dontae Bey, both 20, are accused of stealing a cellphone from the victim’s apartment.

Police say the unidentified victim, who suffers from cerebral palsy, followed the suspects into a stairwell where the assault took place.

Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said in a statement, that the suspects used the cellphone to record the attack and then uploaded the footage to the victim’s Facebook account as well as their own.

The victim was found Monday morning lying in front of the apartment building.

“Preying on those in our community who suffer from disabilities will not be tolerated and furthermore, to have the audacity to post their actions on the victim’s page is beyond belief,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard added.

Both Walker and Bey were arrested later that day and arraigned Tuesday. They are charged with home invasion, unarmed robbery and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
