TORONTO — A 51-year-old Toronto massage therapist has been charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a female client.
Police said a 45-year-old woman visited the Spa Pro massage parlour at 825 Bloor St. W on Wednesday.
She arranged to undergo a treatment and police said she was sexually assaulted by the therapist during the massage.
Zhongwen Li, 51, of Toronto, was arrested on Sunday and charged with sexual assault.
The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario confirmed to Global News that Li is not, nor was he ever, a Registered Massage Therapist.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Toronto on Jan. 6. Police believe there may be other victims.
