MONTREAL – The negotiation blitz that began last weekend has produced four agreements-in-principle, according to the union representing thousands of public sector workers.
The FTQ announced all four agreements are in the education sector and apply to teaching and support staff represented by CUPE-Québec, SEPB-Québec, those in Francophone school boards as well as for support staff in English boards.
The teacher’s union said it has made gains when it comes to working hours and the working conditions for temporary workers.
No agreements have been made on salary and retirement benefits.
Local unions will vote on the agreements-in-principle in the coming weeks.
