Charges laid in 2008 attempted murder of Terry Marriott Jr.

HALIFAX – Regan Taylor Henneberry has been charged in the 2008 attempted murder of  Terry Marriott Jr., who was later murdered.

Police were called to a residence on Whitehead Road in the community of Harrietsfield on Feb. 20, 2009. When they arrived, they found Marriott’s body inside and determined that he had been shot and killed.

As part of the homicide investigation, police learned Henneberry has attempted to kill Marriott on December 2008, and that incident was not reported to police.

Investigators arrested Henneberry on Tuesday morning at a residence on Willow Road in Sambro.

He is being charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Jimmy Melvin Jr. was arrested in July and charged with first-degree murder in Marriott’s death. Melvin also faces a charge of attempted murder from the December 2008 incident.
