Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall issued a statement Saturday regarding the recent attacks that took place in Paris. He added that flags will be flown at half mast at the legislative building in Regina.

 IN DEPTH: Paris Attacks

The following statement was issued by Wall:

Like all Canadians, I am saddened and angered by the brutal attacks on the people of Paris by radical Islamist terrorists.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the people who were killed and wounded, all of their loved ones and all of the people of France.
Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.
Yesterday’s attack was a deadly reminder that there are people in the world who do not share our values and who will stop at nothing in their attempts to impose their twisted, evil ideology through violence, destruction and death.
They must be defeated. There truly is no other option.
I have asked that the flag of France be flown in front of our provincial Legislature and that all of the flags at the Legislature be flown at half staff.
The people of Saskatchewan stand with the people of France and with freedom loving people all over the world against murderous and barbaric radical Islamist terrorism.

Wall also responded to the air strike issue saying, “we should not withdraw from air strikes or the fight against ISIS. Humanitarian aid is not the only Canadian response. When it comes to tyranny including that of radical Islamic terrorism, Canada fights.”
