3 charged in Swift Current, Sask. drug bust

Three people have been charged following a drug bust in Swift Current, Sask. The bust was made on Tuesday after Mounties received a complaint about people selling drugs on the North East Service Road.

Police said a search of two men and a woman and the vehicle they were travelling in turned up approximately 1000 pills, including methadone, hydromorph and methylphenidate.

Knowleton Blacksmith, 35, from Sioux Valley, Man. and two people from Medicine Hat, Alta., Adam Zinger and Kristina Fiddler, both 32, are all facing 10 charges of possession and trafficking each (full list follows at the end of this story) and a number of breaches of recognizance and probation charges.

The trio appeared Friday morning in Swift Current provincial court and will remain in custody until their next court appearance on Nov. 16.

  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Hydromorph for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Methadone for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule III controlled substance Methylphenidate for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Lisdexamfetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Dexidrine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Hydromorph;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Methadone;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule III controlled substance Methylphenidate;
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Lisdexamfetamine; and
  • unlawfully possessing the Schedule I controlled substance Dexidrine.
