West Island high school simulates Zombie Apocalypse for a good cause

STE-ANNE-DE-BELLEVUE – Zombies took over the grounds of MacDonald High School Saturday afternoon, as panicked students and residents tried to escape the apocalypse.

But not to worry, it was all for a good cause.

Some 110 students, staff and parents came together  to make the fourth annual Zombie Apocalypse, benefiting the school’s robotics club, a reality.

The fundraiser is a lot of hard work, as the building is literally converted into a disaster zone.

Three hundred tickets for the event have already been sold and organizers hoped to sell up to 600 more before the day is out.

Participants have until 10 p.m. Saturday to test their zombie evasion skills.

The fundraiser helps the robotics team pay for equipment and allows students to enter robotics competitions.
