Time to turn your clocks back

The biannual time change occurred for much of the country on Sunday, leaving some feeling a little groggy to kick off the work week, but the start and end of Daylight Saving Time affects more than just one’s sleep. File/Getty Images

KELOWNA–Most of B.C. will be turning their clocks back an hour before going to bed Saturday night.

We officially return to Standard time at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

The mornings will get a little lighter and the evenings will get darker.

A Kamloops man has started an online petition to dispense with the twice a year time changes for B.C. and stay on Daylight Savings Time year round.

 

The Kelowna Fire Department is reminding people to check their smoke alarms at the same time as they change their clocks.
