A judicial recount has been ordered for a Saskatchewan riding. Marc Mayrand, the chief electoral officer of Canada, announced Friday there will be a recount for the riding of Desnethé-Missinippi-Churchill River.
The NDP’s Georgina Jolibois won the riding in one of the closest federal election contests in the country.

She beat Liberal candidate Lawrence Joseph by 71 votes following the validation of the results.

The recount was requested by one of the candidates, however Elections Canada did not say which candidate had made the request.
The recount will take place on Nov. 2.
