Cocaine, $30K cash seized by police in Saskatoon drug bust

SASKATOON – Three men are facing charges after a drug bust in Saskatoon Tuesday. Just after noon, members of Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) conducted a high-risk vehicle stop in a parking lot near 8th Street East and Louise Avenue.

Three men, aged 18, 19 and 24, were arrested by police.

Subsequent searches of two residences and a storage locker in the 3000-block of 11th Street West brought in a total of 77 grams of crack cocaine, 59.2 grams of powder cocaine and over $30,000 cash.

Additionally, officers seized differing quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and a cutting agent.

Police say the suspects are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

They appeared in Saskatoon provincial court Wednesday morning.
