Winnipeg school locked after injured man found nearby

WINNIPEG – Pinkham Elementary School on Alexander Avenue and  Reitta Street is locked, following a police investigation Wednesday morning.

Police said one man on Reitta Street was found injured just after 9 a.m. He was rushed to hospital in stable condition.

Pinkham Elementary, which is a few blocks away from the scene,  was then put in a hold-and-secure mode.

This isn’t a lockdown, as children can move around the facility, but the school doors are locked. No one is allowed in or out.
