Caught on Camera: Lithuanian police car runs over suspect during chase

Police dashboard camera footage out of Lithuania captured the moment a man fleeing from police during a high-speed pursuit falls off his motorcycle – and gets run over by a pursuing police car.

The incident took place this past Sunday in Lithuania’s Elektrėnai Municipality when police pursued a man on a motorcycle suspected of being an unregistered driver.

The chase eventually turns onto a small gravel road, with the man losing his traction on a sharp turn and falling off his motorcycle.

Unfortunately, he is then run over by the police car, which had been following in close pursuit.

“(He had) fallen right in front. [The] patrol car even did not have time to stop,” a police spokesperson said.

Delfi.lt reports that the motorcyclist is a 19-year-old man with no license or registration, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Fortunately for both him and the officers, he was not seriously hurt in the crash.
