HALIFAX – The Maritimes’ three Liberal premiers say they’re hopeful Canada’s incoming prime minister will sit down with the provinces to work on the challenges facing the country.
New Brunswick’s Brian Gallant, Nova Scotia’s Stephen McNeil and Prince Edward Island’s Wade MacLauchlan have all offered Justin Trudeau congratulations on the Liberals’ surprise majority election win in yesterday’s federal election, which included a sweep of all 32 ridings in Atlantic Canada.

Gallant says he’s pleased Trudeau shares the view that investment is needed now to improve infrastructure and create jobs.
MacLauchlan says he also looks forward to working with Trudeau on priorities including infrastructure, the economy and climate change.
