Ornge air ambulance makes forced landing

TORONTO – Ornge air ambulance confirms one of their helicopters made a forced landing Friday night.

The chopper departed from Toronto’s island airport and a door on the aircraft opened mid-flight.

This caused a forced landing around 7 p.m. in Colonel Samuel Smith park. The park is located at the base of Kipling Avenue, south of Lake Shore Boulevard West.

Two medics and two pilots were on board the chopper, but no patients.

No injuries were reported.
