HALIFAX – A bomb threat at John W. MacLeod School on Purcells Cove Road on Tuesday morning forced an evacuation and police search of the school.
Police were called to the school at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday after a threat had been called in.
Officers searched the school with the assistance of the k-9 Unit, but nothing suspicious was found.
Students were temporarily relocated to the Fleming Tower School, but were safely back in their classrooms just after 10 a.m.
This is the second bomb threat called into John W. MacLeod school this year. A threat was called in and a suspicious package was found at the school in May.
