TORONTO – A 50-year-old man is dead after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a TTC bus in Malvern Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Morningside Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto’s east-end.
Police said the driver of a Jaguar rear-ended a TTC bus which was parked on the right lane while the 31-year-old driver was changing a route sign in the vehicle.

The lone occupant of the car was found with vital signs absent and Toronto paramedics confirm the person was later pronounced dead at the scene.

There’s no word yet on what caused the crash but police said there are indications the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
Police closed Morningside Avenue between Sheppard Avenue East and Casebridge Court and McLevin Avenue for the investigation. It reopened to traffic just before 11 a.m.
