The inside story on Saskatchewan livestock

SASKATOON – The 45th annual Vetavision is taking place at the University of Saskatchewan. The event is an open house for the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and attracts a wide variety of attendees from across Western Canada.

Along with displays, there are daily videos and guest speakers from both in and out of the college.

“This is a fun event for the vet students as well as for all the public, because there’s so much going on,” said Vetevision co-chair Kayla Bilsborrow.

“There’s live animals, people love that sort of thing. There’s also educational displays, people get to learn about the professions, the technical profession, as well as the animals that they already love or will come to love.”

One of the more interesting displays is the chance to stick your arm into the stomach of a fistulated cow, something Global News reporter Joelle Tomlinson experienced first-hand (as seen in the video at the top of this story.)
