LASALLE – A 25-year-old man is dead after a stabbing in Lasalle.
The incident took place Thursday afternoon on John F. Kennedy Street near Dollard Avenue.
“We still do not know the circumstances of this death,” said André Leclerc with Montreal police.
“We know the man was known to the police.”
With bloodstains still on the sidewalk, parents and children arrived at the daycare next door.
“We are scared,” said Parmatie Gocool.
“My grandchildren go to this daycare, so it’s bothering us a bit.”
I’m shocked,” added John Smith.
“It’s a quiet, residential area. It’s right next to a daycare. I’m surprised. I don’t know what happened.”
There is no information on the motive or possible suspects.
It is the city’s 21st homicide of 2015.
