Preliminary trial dates set for Calgary man accused of killing wife

CALGARY – The preliminary inquiry for a Calgary man accused of killing his wife has been scheduled for next year.

Joshua Burgess appeared in the Calgary Courts Centre via CCTV on Tuesday. He’s charged with the 2nd degree murder of Shannon Madill (Burgess) who was reported missing in late November, 2014.

Her body was later recovered at a home the two shared on Spiller Road S.E.

On Tuesday, a preliminary inquiry was set for August 8, 2016. It’s expected to last two weeks.
