Regina qualifies for PDAP relief after summer storm

REGINA – The City of Regina has qualified for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) after a summer storm that caused widespread flooding and wind damage in late July.

This will allow residents who experienced damage from the July 27th and 28th storm to apply for financial assistance for un-insurable losses.

During the storm Regina saw 90 mm of rain and wind gusts in excess of 100 km/h.

Applications are available online (link) or at City Hall. Residents are asked to make sure that they have contacted their insurance provider first and will need to provide documentation if their claim has been denied.

Applicants are asked to document any work done in order to provide proof of loss and repair to a PDAP adjuster, who will review the claim.
