No chance of parole for 17 years for Meika Jordan’s killers

CALGARY – The Calgary couple found guilty of killing six-year-old Meika Jordan will have to spend 17 years in prison before they can be considered parole.

Meika died in hospital on November 14, 2011.

In June, a judge found her father Spencer Jordan and stepmother Marie Magoon guilty of second-degree murder.

The conviction carries an automatic life sentence.

A sentencing hearing Friday was held to determine the length of parole ineligibility for both Jordan and Magoon.
