Bixi celebrates record year

MONTREAL – The city’s Bixi biking service is celebrating a record year.

The number of people who occasionally use the bike-sharing service jumped by 83 per cent.

There were 150,000 rides by the end of August.

The company also sold a record number of season passes in 2015 with 52,000 bikes at 460 sites in Montreal, Westmount and Longueuil.
