Mounties are looking for two men after an alleged abduction attempt on a Saskatchewan First Nation. Officials said the incident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday on the Little Red River First Nation.

According to police, two 12-year-old girls were walking on a road when they were approached by two men who offered them candy, pop and a ride. The girls declined and one of the men left the truck and attempted to grab one of the girls.

She was able to get away following a brief struggle and both girls were able to run away.

The suspects were driving a light-coloured extended cab with an air compressor in the back.

The driver is described as First Nations, in his 30s, tall and heavy set and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant. He was wearing a thick black sweater and redish-coloured pants with white leather stripes on the side.

There is no description of the second suspect.
