Missing Saskatchewan man found dead on his property

The body of a missing Saskatchewan man was found on his property earlier this week. RCMP and search and rescue parties discovered human remains while looking for George Olenyshyn, 79.

On Friday, it was determined that the remains are those of Olenyshyn. The remains were analyzed by a forensic anthropologist.

RCMP said his death is not considered suspicious or criminal in nature.

Blaine Lake RCMP were concerned for Olenyshyn’s well-being after he was reported missing from the Mayfair district east of the Battlefords, Sask. on Aug. 27.
