Huskies down Golden Hawks 33-10 at Griffiths Stadium

SASKATOON – Another season of CIS football began at Saskatoon’s Griffiths Stadium Friday night. The University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team clashed with the Wilfred Laurier University Golden Hawks under the lights in front of a home crowd.

It was the only non-conference matchup for the Huskies this season and the dogs wanted to make good use of their pre-season game.

In the end, the Huskies defeated the Golden Hawks 33-10.

This was the second meeting between the two CIS football programs. Laurier previously defeated the Huskies in the 2005 Vanier Cup.

The Huskies host the University of Manitoba Bisons on Sept. 4 to kick off their 2015 regular season.
