Summary: This is a new name for the former riding of Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière, represented by Conservative MP Jacques Gourde since 2006. He is seeking re-election after a squeaker of a win in 2011.

Boundaries: This riding is south of Quebec City. It includes Lotbinière, Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, and part of Lévis.

Last Election: Conservative Gourde won with 39.9 per cent of the vote, closely followed by the NDP’s Tanya Fredette with 38.5 per cent, a difference of 777 votes.

History: The Bloc Québécois won this riding when it was created in 2004. Gourde defeated the incumbent in 2006 and has held the seat ever since.
