Second Quebec man found drowned after attempting to save five-year-old boy

RAWDON, Que. – The body of a 53-year-old man who jumped into a river to help save a young boy in Rawdon, just north of Montreal, has been found.

Monday’s discovery by Quebec provincial police divers comes a day after another man died after he also dove into the water to help the child.

That man was pulled from the Dorwin Falls in critical condition and died soon after.

Some reports stated the man whose body was found Monday was the boy’s father.

Police spokeswoman Mélanie Dumaresq said the child is doing well after being saved by park rangers.
