Frankly, there are better referees at Foot Locker. Stephane Auger, at the epicentre of the National Hockey League's most embarrassing officiating controversy in years, has long been considered one of the league's poorest referees. He has a reputation for inconsistency and arrogance and, even among peers, is not especially popular.
