WATCH: Naked man flees after causing 6-car pileup on Cincinnati highway

He was no sight for sore eyes, according to several witnesses that saw a man running down an Ohio interstate buck naked.

According to police, 44-year-old Tracy Martin fled on foot down Interstate 71 after crashing into six cars with his pickup truck.

Calls made to 911 describe the surreal scene.

“He’s been running now a good mile, nonstop,” said a caller.

“Is he wearing shoes or anything? Or is he just completely naked?” asked the dispatcher.

“No, he has no shoes on. He is completely naked.”

According to reports, Martin was driving erratically down the highway during rush hour on Wednesday at 80 mph (130 km/h) in a 65 mph (105 km/h) zone. Driving southbound on the shoulder, he sideswiped four cars then rear-ended a Mercedes, and eventually drove his truck into the median, overturning and landing on top of a Jeep.

Two people injured in the pileup were airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police say one victim who was previously in critical condition was recently upgraded to stable.

After he escaped the wreckage, Martin took off running.

“He was avoiding the police and was ordered to stop,” Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Lia Heidel explained to Global News as to why officers used a Taser on Martin.

Witness Mindy Banks told Cincinnati.com that attempts by the officers to slow Martin down were mostly unsuccessful.

“I was videotaping when they Tased the man right outside my car. The Taser did not faze him,” she said. “I saw the officer pull out his night stick and hit him three or four times. That didn’t faze him either.”

Officers were eventually able to apprehend the suspect around a mile away from the crash site.

Heidel, the investigating officer of the incident, said Martin refused to give a statement during his arrest. Authorities believe he was under the influence but are awaiting lab results to confirm.

“I would say he was under some sort of narcotic to be driving at that erratic speed and causing all that damage,” said Heidel. “We obviously suspect something wasn’t correct going on there.”

Heidel said Martin does not have a criminal history and is currently under the care of a treatment facility. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
