Questions remain in Regina triple homicide

It’s been five years since a triple homicide in a neighbourhood in Regina and police are still looking for answers. File / Global News

REGINA – Thursday marks five years since a triple homicide stunned a north Regina neighbourhood and there’s yet to be anyone charged in connection with the case.

The Htoo family, 31-year old Gray Nay Htoo, 28-year old Maw Maw and three year old Seven June Htoo were found dead in their Oakview Drive townhouse by their landlord on August 6th 2010.

Police are expected to update the public on the status of this investigation Thursday morning.

The probe into the death of the family is one of largest investigations ever carried out by Regina Police.  Last year the service offered a $50, 000 reward for information that would help solve the triple homicide.  A number of investigative strategies have been used. The week after the murder, area residents were given a questionnaire that asked “did you have any involvement in the murder.” On the one year anniversary, a message in the Burmese family’s native language was released to the public.
