3 youth arrested by Battleford RCMP after stolen vehicle recovered

BATTLEFORD, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested three youth after a stolen vehicle was driven into the Battleford and recovered Wednesday. Early in the morning, Blaine Lake and Shellbrook RCMP reported multiple vehicle thefts in their areas.

Battleford RCMP were notified as one of the stolen vehicles was found to be travelling in their direction on Highway 16. The suspect vehicle veered off the highway on to back roads before it was abandoned behind Saskatchewan Hospital.

The occupants fled the vehicle. Three boys were located and arrested on outstanding warrants and possession of property obtained by crime.

They are scheduled to appear in provincial youth court Thursday.

RCMP are still investigating.
