REGINA – The Estevan Police Service says it has fired one of its officers.

Former constable Mohammed Khan is charged with assault.

Police Chief Paul Ladouceur says Khan’s dismisal follows two investigations into an arrest back in May.

He declined further comment.

Khan, who is 29, joined the Estevan Police Service last August.

He graduated from the University of Regina with a degree in justice studies in 2011.
