Alberta couple reunites Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler with his dog

TORONTO — An Alberta couple may not have found “Love in an Elevator” — but they found rock star Steven Tyler’s dog.

Ken Morrison, a Re/Max realtor in Spruce Grove, Alberta, and his wife Richelle Lee Ann had just finished posing for wedding photos on the fifth floor of the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald on Saturday when they stepped into an elevator and saw an adorable little pooch.

“There was a dog all by itself,” Morrison, on his honeymoon, told Global News from Hawaii. “We thought, ‘How does a dog get on an elevator?'”

They picked up the dog with the intention of taking it to the hotel’s front desk — but when the elevator doors opened, Tyler was standing in front of them.

Morrison’s reaction, of course, was: “Oh my god! You’re Steven Tyler!”

It’s not clear which one of Tyler’s beloved dogs took the solo ride — the rocker has a Yorkie named Butch Cassidy and a Yorkie-Maltese named The Sundance Kid.

The “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” singer thanked the newlyweds for reuniting him with his pet by chatting with them for close to 15 minutes and posing for a photo.

“He walked out of the hotel with us and talked to us,” said Morrison. “He was so nice to us. Beyond nice.”

On Facebook, the blushing bride shared: “It was a really awesome moment to add to our special day.”

Morrison said they mostly talked to Tyler about their honeymoon plans in Maui, where the singer has a home. “We told him where we were staying and he said he lives just down the street.”

The groom said he wishes he had thought to invite Tyler to the couple’s reception, where the newlyweds collected donations for Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. (Morrison sold the photo of Tyler to celebrity website TMZ — he is not allowed to say for how much — and will add the money to the donation.)
