Okotoks man arrested after reports of soccer field flashing

CALGARY – A 36-year-old man has been arrested after multiple reports of indecent exposure in Okotoks. He made his first appearance in Calgary court on Monday morning.

The man, who is not being named as it “may identify the young persons involved,” has been charged with eight counts of indecent exposure and seven counts of causing a disturbance.

Two incidents happened in the early evening near the soccer fields in the Drake Landing neighbourhood of Okotoks, south of Calgary. At about 5 p.m. on June 19, police said, a man walked by two girls with his genitals exposed. He didn’t say anything or make physical contact. At about 7:55 p.m. on July 14, someone believed to be the same man walked towards two girls with his genitals exposed.

The investigation is ongoing and police said they are still speaking with witnesses.
