LETHBRIDGE – Police in Lethbridge have charged four teenage girls in connection to a robbery at a convenience store.
It happened at a 7-11 in the 500 block of 13 Street North just before 3 a.m. on Thursday.
The Lethbridge Regional Police Service says two young girls used knives to threaten staff and demand cigarettes.

Investigators later determined two other girls who were in the store at the time and were originally thought to be witnesses, allegedly took part in the holdup.
All four teens were arrested and charged.
A 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl are each charged with robbery, disguised and possession of a weapon.
A 13-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl are each charged with one count of a robbery.
The suspects can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
They remain in custody awaiting a judicial interim release hearing.
