Toronto man allegedly pulls out shotgun in road rage incident

TORONTO – A man and a woman are under arrest after a shotgun was allegedly pulled out during a violent road rage incident in Toronto this week.

Police say the shocking encounter happened on Wednesday in the Dufferin St. and Bloor St. W. area.

It is alleged a 35-year-old man had a shotgun pointed at him by another man in a vehicle with a female inside.

After uttering threats, the couple fled the area but was later captured by police.

Police say a shotgun with ammunition was seized and further investigation led to the seizure of three more firearms.

Nader Al-Jaar, 28, of Toronto and Asma Khan, 22, of Toronto were arrested on July 8 and charged with a number of offences including threaten death, assault with a weapon, point firearm, weapons dangerous and careless use of a firearm.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Friday.
