Moose family takes up golf course residence

SALMON ARM – They’re making the rounds on the fairways of the Salmon Arm Golf Club but they’re not paying any green fees.

A cow moose and her calf have been interrupting golfers in a delightful way with regular visits to the course this week.

Club member Barbara Kennedy and her two friends were joined by the two ungulates on Thursday.

“Needless to say, we let them play through!” says Kennedy.

Club spokesperson, Sapphire Games, says the cow and calf don’t cause any problems other than leaving a few hoof prints in some of the greens but it’s nothing they can’t contend with.

Games believes the mother moose is the same one which also visited the course last year with her calf.
