UPDATED: RCMP concludes Moncton man and woman died in murder-suicide

WATCH: Codiac RCMP are investigating after two bodies were found in a Moncton home Wednesday morning.

MONCTON – Codiac Regional RCMP have concluded that the death of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a Moncton home was the result of a murder-suicide.

Police received a 911 call shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday and arrived at a Purdy Avenue home to discover the bodies of a man and a woman.

The 54-year-old man from Moncton and the 40-year-old woman from Petitcodiac were known to each other.

RCMP say the names of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths will not be made public.
