Janet Jackson to kick off world tour in Canada

TORONTO — Janet Jackson will kick off her first tour in four years this summer in Canada.

The singer announced Monday her Unbreakable World Tour will begin Aug. 31 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver and then hit Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome on Sept. 2, Edmonton’s Rexall Place on Sept. 4, Revolution Place in Grand Prairie on Sept. 5, Saskatoon’s SaskTel Centre on Sept. 7 and the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Sept. 8.

Jackson’s tour will also stop at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sept. 15.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 22.

The tour is in support of Jackson’s forthcoming album — her first studio album since 2008’s Discipline. The 49-year-old’s hits include “What Have You Done for Me Lately” to “That’s the Way Love Goes” to “All for You.”
